The start of a new era?

As of today 7PM i’m starting the NSFD officially. I want to see how long I can stand it. As far as I know the maximum so far recorded was 44 days. I don’t know if I will hold it that long but I wil try to do so at least for 20 days. I expect great results soon and thus an altered state of mind. Time will show.

This is not the first time I am trying the experiment. The last time I tried the results were astonishing. It’s already a very stressful period but I am hoping the best. I will try posting on fb every 24 hours milestone in the hope that I don’t loose faith in me. Others made it before me so it shouldn’t be that hard to convince myself. I will try to add some low bpm exercises later on to the schedule but for the first week I already have enough stress for now.

Έχει εδώ και καιρό που χρειάζομαι ένα καλό hard-reset. Έχω συμπληρώσει 18ωρο χωρίς ίχνος ύπνου και με χάλια διατροφή. Το στομάχι μου πεινάει, πονάει και όμως νιώθω πως δεν χρειάζομαι ξεκούραση. Γύρω μου σκάει ο τζίτζικας και νιώθω δροσιά..

Ξεκίνησα σήμερα “την” παρουσίαση. Σήμερα το απόγευμα με τον και χτες ξέφυγε λίγο το μάτι μου σε μια περιοχή που καιρό έψαχνα αλλά δίσταζα να κινηθώ. Νιώθα αρκετά έτοιμος για το επόμενο βήμα πλέον. Ο Σεπτέμβριος είναι κοντά αλλά πρώτα προέχουν οι διακοπές του Αυγούστου σε “ερημικό” “νησί”. Μετά φόρτσα τα πανιά.

Με χαροποίησαν πάρα πολύ τα κακά μαντάτα από τον Πόλο. Όλα πάνε σκατά!.. Τέλεια! Είναι τρομερό πως γυρίζει ο τροχός. Ήμουν προφητικός από την αρχή, αλλά ζούμε σε μια εποχή που κοιτάμε τον προφήτη στα δόντια και όχι στα μάτια. Ας είναι. Έχουν γνώση οι φύλακες…

Το 2009 (φτού, να μην το ματιάξω) φαίνεται πως είναι μπήκε καλά και συνεχίζει να πηγαίνει καλύτερα. Από Οκτώβριο που θα βελτιωθούν και τα οικονομικά εκθετικά θέλω να βάλω 2 πραγματάκια στη σειρά.

2009 !!!

Ξεκίνησε το 2009 πριν από ελάχιστες μέρες με τον πιο όμορφο τρόπο. Μετά από μια σύντομη εξόρμηση στον Π. Παντελεήμονα με την πιο όμορφη παρέα νιώθω αρκετά πιο συγκροτημένος πλέον. Για τη νέα χρονιά έχω περιορίσει τους στόχους μου σε ελάχιστους όπως να ξεμπερδέψω με τη σχολή ως το καλοκαίρι, να τελειώσουμε το project με τον kmak καθώς και να βρώ επιτέλους τι θα γίνει με το θέμα της διαμονής, αν θα παραμείνω Θεσσαλονίκη ή αν θα φύγω για εκτός Ελλάδος από το Σεπτέμβριο. Τέλος έχει μείνει ένα θεματάκι με κάποια κιλάκια που θέλω να χάσω ως το καλοκαίρι το αργότερο οπότε το 6μηνο προβλέπεται αρκετά έντονο και δημιουργικό.

Βρέθηκα στη Λάρισα για τα Χριστούγεννα και κατέληξα σε 4ήμερη εξόρμηση. Είναι η 2η μέρα μου εδώ. Χτες πέρασα απλά καταπληκτικά ως τις 6 το πρωί και σήμερα ήρθε το επιστέγασμα μετά από έναν πρωινό καφέ στην πόλη. Βρίσκομαι μπροστά στο τζάκι και σε λίγο θα την πέσω για ύπνο. Αύριο θα είναι μεγάλη η μέρα και ακόμη μεγαλύτερη η νύχτα (μάλλον)… Τελικά υπάρχουν ακόμη άτομα που με εκπλήσσουν (με την καλή έννοια). Ο Δεκέμβριος του 2008 ήταν εντελώς αναπάντεχος. Ελπίζω μόνο να μην τελειώσει αυτό που ξεκίνησε τόσο καλά σύντομα.

Η κατάσταση στην Ελλάδα ίσως ήταν κάπως έκρυθμη την βδομάδα που μας πέρασε αλλά εξίσου έκρυθμη ήταν και η δική μου σε κάθε τομέα. Προγραμματισμένα ακυρώνονται και απρογραμμάτιστα πετυχαίνουν με τη μία. Κατάφερα όμως να κάνω λίγο *δουλειά* στο facebook. Η ανάστροφη ανάλυση ενός κοινωνικού δικτύου καθώς και η εύρεση μεθόδων για την εκμετάλλευσή του είναι μια αρκετά δύσκολη δουλειά ιδίως όταν δεν έχεις πρόσβαση ούτε στη δομή της βάσης ούτε στα απαιτούμενα λογικά διαγράμματα (hello.. ανάστροφη είπαμε…) . Επειδή όμως ο Αποστόλης είναι και γαμώ τα παιδιά κατάφερε να παρακάμψει αρκετούς από τους μηχανισμούς των (εξωτερικών) εφαρμογών του facebook. Το ηθικό δίδαγμα είναι πως το facebook είναι ασφαλές, όχι όμως κατά ανάγκη και οι εφαρμογές του. Αν έχετε σκοπό να γράψετε μια εφαρμογή για το facebook τουλάχιστον κάντε χρήση Ajax . Το μόνο καλό ήταν το ποσό που τελικά πληρώθηκα για την ανάλυση από το ίδιο το facebook αλλά και το bonus λόγω μεθοδολογίας.

Το κακό που 3ωσε όμως (μέσα στην ίδια βδομαδα) ήταν τελειωτικό και μετά από ενα μπουκαλάκι (απρογραμμάτιστου αλλά μετά καλής παρέας) Tanqueray ήρθε και το όνειρο χτες το βράδυ να με στείλει ΤΕΛΕΙΩΣ!… μήπως ..?… who knows.. είπαμε … τέρμα το τσιγκέλι!..

To project προοδεύει πολύ αυτές τις μέρες. Όσο περνάει ο καιρός η πρόοδος επιταχύνεται και η αίσθηση που αφήνει πίσω της είναι πολύ καλή. Σκεφτομουν χτες και σήμερα όλη μέρα την Α. και δεν ξέρω γιατί. Μου επέτρεψε να συγκεντρωθώ όμως. Δεν ξέρω γιατί. Και ίσως να μην μάθω κιόλας ποτέ. Μερικές καταστάσεις δεν πρέπει να τα σκαλίζεις γιατί θα βρεις το μπελά σου πάλι.

The Hackers Diet μέρος 3ο

Δυστυχώς ο Ιούνιος ξεκίνησε με πολύ βάρβαρο τρόπο αφαιρώντας την δυνατότητα για πρωϊνές εξορμήσεις στο γυμναστήριο και καθώς η (πρότελευταία ελπίζω) εξεταστική μου ξεκίνησε μισή βδομάδα μετά και έτσι μου στέρησε την δυνατότητα για εκγύμναση εντελώς. Παρά το γεγονός αυτό όμως εξαιτίας μιας εξόρμησης προς Χαλκιδική και την απόλαυση του καλοκαιρινού (ήπιου όμως ακόμη) ήλιου για περίπου 6 ώρες σε συνδυασμό με μηδενική κατανάλωση τροφής και μετά βίας δυο ποτηριών νερού υπήρξε απώλεια 3 κιλών μέσα σε μια μέρα. Αφυδάτωση που λέει και ο κόσμος. Στην πρώτη βδομάδα μετά το συγκεκριμένο γεγονός τα κιλά επανήλθαν μεν μιας και ήταν απλά απώλεια υγρών αλλά είχα ξεκινήσει ήδη διατροφή ελάχιστων θερμίδων με ταυτόχρονη χρήση αναβράζουσων πολυβιταμινών, πράσινου τσαγιού και χαπάκια από μυλόξυδο. Το αποτέλεσμα ήταν μετά από μια βδομάδα περίπου να χάσω 2.5 κιλά φτάνοντας τα 97.5 .

Η εβδομάδα που πέρασε μόλις ήταν εβδομάδα αποτοξίνωσης. Σταμάτησα την διατροφή και τα συμπληρώματα ενώ ταυτόχρονα έτρωγα κανονικά. Δοκίμασα 2-3 φορές την περίπτωση του περιπάτου στην παραλιακή προς το Ποσειδώνιο και διαπίστωσα πως είναι μια πολύ καλή ευκαιρία για άσκηση ιδίως με παρέα. Ενδεχομένως και την αντικατάσταση του καθημερινού απογευματινού καφέ αν και είμαι σίγουρος πως ο Κώστας δεν θα χαιρόταν με μια τέτοια επιλογή.

Σήμερα και περιμένοντας να ξεκινήσει η νέα εβδομάδα στην οποία η καθημερινή άσκηση βάσει προγράμματος και η αντίστοιχη διατροφή θα ξανα-ξεκινήσει βρίσκομαι στα 99 κιλά και με την ευκαιρία εγκατέστησα και μια εφαρμογή ελέγχου στο blog παρόμοια με αυτή που χρησιμοποιείται στο The Hackers Diet ( http://www.fourmilab.ch/hackdiet/e4/ ) το οποίο συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα για όσους δεν έχουν ασχοληθεί με το αντικείμενο και θέλουν πραγματικά να χάσουν βάρος χωρίς να έχουν ανάγκη τρίτους “ειδικούς”.

Αυτή τη βδομάδα αποφάσισα να ξεκινήσω κάνοντας μια *μικρή* υπέρβαση. Στόχος των επόμενων 10 ημερών θα είναι η απώλεια βάρους έτσι ώστε να φτάσω τα 90 κιλά ακριβώς. Τα online εργαλεία και οι μελέτες εμφανίζουν πως το ιδεατό θα ήταν η απώλεια 28 κιλών από τα 100 και άρα να φτάσω στα 72. Αν μέσα σε ένα 10ήμερο καταφέρω τον στόχο των 90 τότε θα είμαι κατά το 1/3 πλησιέστερα και άρα θα είμαι μόνο 18 κιλά από τον ιδεατό στόχο. Θεωρώντας πως είμαι 99 κιλά σήμερα θα πρέπει λοιπόν να χάσω 9 κιλά σε 10 ημέρες. Με βάση την θεωρία του αντικειμένου θα πρέπει λοιπόν να χάσω 9*7700=69300 θερμίδες. Δηλαδή 1 κιλό ανα ημέρα ή 7700 θερμίδες ανά ημέρα.

Αν αφήσουμε το φαγητό στην άκρη (απεργία πείνας δηλαδή) θα έχουμε τότε 7700-2500=5200 ακόμη προς χάσιμο πράγμα αρκετά ουτοπικό αν θεωρήσουμε πως σε μια ώρα βάδην χάνουμε ως και 500 θερμίδες. Θα έπρεπε να κάνω διάδρομο κάθε μέρα για 10 και πλέον ώρες. Το κόλπο στην συγκεκριμένη περίπτωση θα είναι η ταυτόχρονη απώλεια νερού. Το ποσοστό νερού αν γίνει μόνο απώλεια βάρους χωρίς απώλεια νερού θα αυξηθεί. Άρα η απώλεια νερού είναι δεδομένη. Στην συγκεκριμένη περίπτωση όμως θα γίνει εσκεμένα και σε πολύ μεγαλύτερο βαθμό. Αν θεωρήσω πως σε 10 ημέρες θα έχω απώλεια 3-4 λίτρων νερού τότε η απώλεια βαρους θα πέσει στα 5 κιλά τα οποία είναι 5*7700=38500 θερμίδες και άρα ανά ημέρα θα πρέπει να χάνω 3800 θερμίδες. Κάπως πιο βατό λοιπόν. Θα είναι ένα ενδιαφέρον τεστ κυρίως ψυχολογικό καθώς θα χρειαστώ αρκετή αυτοσυγκέντρωση για την επίτευξη του στόχου.

Η συνέχεια θα είναι μια εβδομάδα χαμιλοθερμιδικής διατροφής στυλ Ιανουαρίου ενώ θα γίνεται αναπλήρωση υγρών από την αφυδάτωση της προηγούμενης (τρέχουσας) εβδομάδας. Δεν μένει λοιπόν από το να δούμε τα αποτελέσματα.

Excellent flash animation depicting the way to think towards string theory. It shows how to imagine all the dimensions up to the 10th dimension. Very nice narration, very comprehensive and very quick way to get started with string theory (if that is what you want that is).

I guess the book is at least that nice too.

I am shocked at the supidity amount of most u.s. officials. 8 out of 10 of these inventions are 100% vulnerable and completely useless. The rest isn’t even worth mentioning. The amoung of cash spent on so stupid ideas makes me think even more that I should start building my own ideas. This edu-year is going to be spent in finishing off university and my military. Next summer is the first summer the DN is going to work so if all goes well enough money will be set aside for hardware projects. I will reconsider at the next edu-year the whole concept as it pisses me off to see so stupid ideas getting actually paid. I wonder how much working-projects can earn from military.
