The big let down…
So everyone is waiting for an iPhone. Apple lets everyone down one more time. Or not? I don’t think so. Apple is leading the pack for some time now. Products are nowadays presented at times you least expect them to. So did Apple let every one down? No. OFC not. Why should Apple listen to anyone after all. Marketing is one thing and delivering a product is another. Apple has managed to do very well with product deliveries. Not hasting is a key point these days. Behind all the secrecy in Apple the true big secret is not the products the company unveils but the correct timing. Personally I was duying to get the iPhone last week but then again I knew I was asking for way too much. It’s not that the iPhone won’t appear. It’s just that too many people had great expectations at this timeframe while they already knew that if they really got it correct (the rumors about the introduction date) Apple would have fired at least 4-5 people. And ofc Apple didn’t lay off anybody. =).
Rumor has it that the iPhone will be introduced somewhere in January and others speculated even in a lineup of 3 models. Hmmm.. who cares
. Apple has the balls in audio market now and will decide to present it only when the market is exausted of just hearing music and watching movies. This means that the January timeframe is still only a speculation. Ofc Apple has many surprises in store. Like the iTV. WTF was that? iTV? c’mon Stevie.. you know you can do better than that. iTV made me think that if Apple can make a so thin applicance then the tablet is also possible.
You are probably goofed on what I am talking about. It’s quite simple. Steve wasn’t fooling around the last years. Shareholders are finally shutting up after the last 5-year success history and the market is also finally staring at Apple. Only after the market has been dried out of a product will Apple introduce a new product cycle ( a new product). So is the audio/video market saturated? I don’t think so. The introduction of the iPhone will mean the end of the iPod era. Everyone wil want a new phone. So it’s definately a no-go for an introduction anytime soon. Let the analysts say whatever crap they want. After all they have to present themselves as doing something, that’s how the crap of an iPhone introduction in September ’06 started. Consumer products don’t come (from Apple) at WWDC anymore and definately not at MacWorld’s. MacWorld’s are for S/W tutorials on new or upcoming releases and WWDC’s for new betas. H/W on the other side is appearing without presentations, and thus saving Apple time. Consumer products like the iPod or xPod will come at open media meetings like the one witnessed last week.
Verdict? If you want to get a Mac do it now. Do it if you need it. Stop waiting for the new jazzy-smazzy iLala and start working. End of story. Steve will do the rest. Be a happy citizen. You deserve it.
